2012 GOP Platform Must Aim To Restore American Innovation By Newt Gingrich

2012 GOP platform must aim to restore American innovation by Newt Gingrich over at Human Events

Jobs and work must be at the heart of the Republican platform in 2012, just as they’re at the heart of what makes America exceptional.

After three years of President Obama, we’re in danger of losing these important values. The current economy has been so bad for so long that it is undermining the very fabric of American life. The prolonged economic downturn and destruction of jobs by high taxes, massive over-regulation, and class warfare has forced more and more Americans into dependence on government.

President Obama’s policies, ostensibly solutions to these problems, have in truth focused on making people even more dependent on an even larger government. Under the Obama model, for instance, unemployment benefits and food stamps are satisfactory compensation for the president’s own job-killing policies. Similarly, the president’s health care law is praised for providing young people the chance to remain on their parents’ health insurance until they are 26—a dependency made necessary only by the fact that so many young people are unable to get jobs in the Obama economy.

These changes are in accordance with the left’s vision for America, in which dependence on the government is a legitimate lifestyle—even desirable.

National Review Goes After Gingrich Again By Mark

National Review Goes After Gingrich Again by Mark over at Mark America

I think it’s pretty clear that there is only so much room in the market for conservative media outlets, and since it’s likewise clear that the National Review has slowly transformed into the Establishment publication of record, I am calling on the editors at the National Review to set aside its claims to conservatism. Since they’re so interested in cleaning up this race, I think they should step aside as the conservative journal of record. You may think I’m nuts, but you see, according to the National Review, Newt Gingrich should withdraw from this race for the sake of Rick Santorum. Newt Gingrich is simply an obstruction, they say. He doesn’t have the temperament or the popularity to govern or even win the election, they say. He must go, they say. To all of this, I say “Nuts!” Gingrich should respond similarly. While the Review plays its silly games, pretending to favor Santorum, I know what it is that they’re really after.

Don’t get me wrong: If Rick Santorum is able to make good on his recent victories, and becomes the eventual Republican nominee, vanquishing Romney, it will be better than Romney winning, but the trouble is that such an outcome isn’t set in stone, and more than this, I believe the call for Gingrich to withdraw is a head-fake. The National Review doesn’t want Santorum either, but what they would like to do is reduce this contest to just two candidates(other than Ron Paul.) You see, if this is reduced to a Romney v. Santorum race, Romney and the National Review suspect that with all of the cash at his disposal, Mitt Romney will be able to power through to the nomination. If Gingrich withdraws, the National Review will likely have been correct, as Romney will grind him down with negative attack ads until the electorate’s eyes bleed.

Black Conservative At Newt Party- Where Are The Black People-

Black conservative at Newt party- where are the black people- by Lloyd Marcus over at Canada Free Press

I attended Newt Gingrich’s party at the Rosen Centre in Orlando last night. Over a hundred media outlets were there. Despite not winning Florida, the mood of Gingrich supporters was extremely upbeat; waving signs, “46 States To Go!” Gingrich’s speech was awesome! He talked about overturning Obama’s policies to which the crowd was elated. He did not mention Romney at all.

I never do this. However, as I surveyed the ballroom, I noticed I was one of only about ten blacks in attendance out of the hundreds at the party. Frustrated, I thought, “Where are the black people? And why have they not embraced our conservative message which I know in my heart is best for all Americans?”

Years of Liberalism and Obama’s presidency has been devastating to the black community.

And yet, like zombies, blacks blindly continue to vote for “the problem” which is Liberalism intrenched in the Democratic Party rather than “the solution” which is Conservatism.

Hey GOP! Do You Hear Your Fed Up, Fired Up Base?

Hey GOP! Do You Hear Your Fed Up, Fired Up Base- by Janice Shaw Crouse over at American Thinker

In the view of many pundits, the GOP primary has boiled down to former House Speaker Newt Gingrich versus former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. But the consensus among numerous commentators is that former Senator Rick Santorum won the last two debates, and he has pushed ahead of Gingrich in some polls pitting various GOP candidates against President Obama.

Certainly, Santorum's performance in the Tampa debate earned him recognition as a contender. In one of the most prescient moments of the Republican primary, Santorum gave an impassioned explanation of why RomneyCare's role as the model for ObamaCare is the central issue for 2012. After Romney gave a tepid defense of his Massachusetts health care legislation, Santorum heatedly and powerfully attacked individual mandates and pointed out the similarities between Romney's and Obama's health care reform. Santorum bluntly declared that Romney's record on health care reform made him the wrong GOP candidate to put up against President Obama. It boiled down to, according to Senator Santorum, essentially surrendering the issue of our fundamental freedoms -- which is not likely to be acceptable to Tea Party activists, who are credited with enabling the Republican takeover of the House in 2010. Mr. Romney blew off the former senator's concerns: "It's not worth getting angry about."
