It really comes down to how much of a glutton for punishment do you want to be? How many times does the GOP have to crap on us? Don’t want nothing from us until it time for an election. I’m tired—tired of being used.

It’s bad enough being used, but being used in a losing cause is even worse.

We conservatives have been the red-headed stepchild of the Republican Party for as long as I can remember.  They run us out at every election to do the grunt work—then shunt us off to the rear as soon as the election is over.  If they lose the election we are blamed for it.  If they win, we get none of the credit.

They USE US —and I am fed up with it.

Now,  every time anyone brings up the idea of a separate political party, a conservative political party, a “third” party all hell breaks lose and I/we are barraged with every excuse in the world as to why a “third” party won’t work.

Let’s be clear here.  I’m not talking about a “centrist” third party. We already have that.  It’s called the Republican Party. What I’m interested in is a “CONSERVATIVE” party—a political party of the right, conservative to the core, and unapologetic as hell about it, too.

It is true that a third political party in American politics will not work—so long as it remains THE third party.

After taking part—in and watching the GOP implode upon itself—in the last two Presidential elections,  seems to me we conservatives have the right to question theleadership of the GOP,  which always seems to be drawn (mostly) from the blue bloods and country club set.

It’s just an observation on my part, but I have come to believe that the leadership of the GOP doesn’t really know how to handle themselves in a fight.  They don’t go for the jugular of the Democratic Party when the fight is on.  They rarely go for the throat of the opposition in the Congress, either.

Look.  The Romney Campaign was badly managed.  Heck, I’m convinced a political science class from Green Swamp University could have done a better job.

As a rule, I don’t waste my time with losers.  BUT, I have been a registered Republican since my 21st birthday—well over 50 years ago.  If you have to ask why, then you have obviously not read my scribbling before this one.

The GOP has been the “gentleman’s” party for as long as I can remember.  Thinking myself a gentleman, it seemed the logical choice for me.  There was a problem, however.  See, I am a southern gentleman.  A southern gentleman is defined as “a southern male (of breeding) with a bible in one hand and a cannon ball in the other.”  James Dickey, a former Poet Laureate of my home state of South Carolina is the author of that definition.  The meaning is clear. You can be reasonable in a disagreement with us and we can pray together about it, or be unreasonable, and we can—and will—engage in a smash-mouth, hair-pulling, eyeball gouging,  knock-down-drag-out brawl.

And that is my problem with the GOP.  They just do not seem willing to go to the wall, to push the limit, to get down in the gutter, when necessary,  to take the fight to the opposition, set THEM back on their heels, knock THEM off balance, and take advantage of every opportunity the opposition makes available to the GOP.

Look at all the missed opportunities to go after the Obama campaign’s throat.  Benghazigate was just hanging there, sparking in the sunshine, and the GOP did not go for it.

I learned something as a skinny little kid who wore glasses.  NEVER FIGHT FAIR! Use anything and everything to your advantage—from your fists to a two by four.  As the perpetual underdog—my survival was at stake—and I KNEW IT.

The GOP does not seem to have that sort of survival spirit—and without it, well,  they’ve lost the fight before the first blow is struck.

For going on six decades now I have watched the GOP climb into the ring with the democrats and bob and weave, duck and cover, until a TKO—or an outright knockout—is called in favor of the democrats.

Maybe the time has finally come for me to move on.  The question, of course is, move on to where?  I’ll certainly never be a democrat.  I’m a conservative born (I believe) into this world hardwired as such.

So, for lack of a viable third political party, I, too, will become an “Independent.” (Here in North Carolina, we have no Independents.  Here you are either a Democrat, a Republican, or “Unaffiliated.”)

Conservatives need a home of their own ... desperately.

As predicted numerous times in the History of the Future, the Progressive Republican could not defeat the Progressive Democrat.  Why would people want a shadow when they can have the real thing?

It was a hard choice to endorse the Progressive Romney, but I felt that the stakes were so high it was worth the effort.  As I said repeatedly he might have driven us to the poor house a little bit slower.  Instead we have a triumphant President Obama and the Chicago Outfit he represents sitting astride the prostrate body politic.  The last four years will be but a prelude to the horrendous destruction these looters will do to the American Experiment in the next four.  And given their obvious ability to lead their army of useful idiots, takers, and corrupt city political machines to electoral victory we should probably brace ourselves for President Biden in 2016.

The perpetually re-elected establishment rigidly controls the entrenched two party system, which conveniently calls itself Democrat and Republican.  They are two sides of the same coin, and two wings on the same bird of prey.  They both represent theProgressive central-planners who believe government is the answer when we know it is the problem.  No matter which side wins the government grows and devours more of the nation’s output and its wealth.  The election results ratify the electoral majorities’ union with the statists.  It also points to:

• the permanent establishment of Obamacare     
• the probable capture of the Supreme Court     
• the loss through re-interpretation of our rights     
• the full implementation of the Cloward/Piven Strategy with massive debt , borrowing, and inflation     
• the expansion of rule by decree     
• the continued and expanded humiliation of America in international affairs     
• the end of the American experiment in limited government, personal liberty and economic freedom as we have known it

As alarming as all this sounds do not despair, God did not leave us nor forsake us.  First of all He gave us plenty of warning.  This author and many others repeatedly predicted an Obama win.  As I stated numerous times, the Chicago Machine doesn’t lose elections.  Also our hope is not in the hand of man.  Man didn’t give us the peace that passes all understanding and he can’t take it away.  God gave us His Word which is always our refuge and our fortress.

He told us:

• A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.     
• Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength     
• Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!  Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.     
• God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…     
• If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

That is why I can face this morning with joy in my heart and hope in my spirit for I know who my Savior is and I know what He has promised me.  Build your life upon the Rock that doesn’t roll and when the wind and waves beat against you, you shall not fall.

God’s Word tells us not to put our trust in leaders whose plans are of this world.  Don’t look for utopia here.  Don’t keep your treasure in the world where rust destroys and time forgets instead keep your treasure with God.  He promises us that if we draw near to Him He will draw near to us, and that if we humble ourselves before Him He will lift us up.

So don’t despair.  Don’t let the passing victory of the evil steal your joy because if the devil can’t steal your joy he can’t keep your stuff.  And remember, weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.  Trust God, praise Jesus, and remember: thehope of the righteous will be gladness, but the expectation of the wicked will perish.  The plans of the wicked may flourish but they will also wither like the flower in the field.  Trials and tribulations come upon us so that we may grow and persecution was also promised to those who believe along with a way of escape.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Keep the faith, keep the peace, we shall overcome.

It is widely reported that America is coming apart. We are in more than a culture war. We are in a seismic event. We are two Americas, and one makes no sense to the other.

In the sixties, after living through a time of a SCOTUS decision in 1948 to “erect a wall of separation of church and state” based on a godless interpretation of a Jeffersonian letter to a Baptist church, through Eisenhower healing this by adding “Under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance, through the removal of prayer from schools to satisfy the offense of one woman, Madelyn Murray O’Hair, through collectivist left wing education and mind altering drugs and “Closing of the American Mind”, the artist and critic Marshal McLuhan proclaimed “Art is whatever you can get away with.” A crucifix in urine and elephant dung smeared on the face of the Mother of God is proclaimed art. In other words, Blasphemy is Art. Predictably we hear a Vice-President explain his political style is based in the same nihilist trend: “There is no controlling legal authority.” In other words, we are agreed in principle to overthrow America.

Purported President Barack “Barry Soetoro” Hussein Obama, and so-called Secretary of State Hillary Clinton must resign immediately. No ifs, ands, or buts. Pack up their things and get the h*ll out of Washington, today. This woman, The Smartest Woman in America, and her boss, The Smartest Man in the Room, have just shown the world that they are anything but.

The unmitigated arrogance and stupidity of this pair was on display this week, for all the world to see. These two apostles of Marxist agitator Saul Alinsky clearly see themselves as leaders of an elite intelligencia, far smarter than us of the Unwashed Masses, and therefore, ordained to lead, with We, the People, as blind, sheep-like followers. Thus, they were flabbergasted to discover that Muslims have not been won over by Obama’s endless apologies and bowing a scraping before Islamic royalty. They were stunned that Libyans were not grovelingly grateful that we had “liberated” their country from Muammar Gaddafi.

“We came, we saw, he died,” gloated Clinton.

Obama, too, has made a spectacle of himself, repeatedly, publicly bragging the He, the Anointed One, killed Osama bin Laden. He bragged, too that He, and only He, was in charge of the government’s “kill list,” containing the names of Islamist terrorists that are targeted for death.

It seems never to have occurred to this pair of bungling, egotistical morons that such statements in public, by high government officials, just might “offend” a few million zealous Muslims, all over the world? Did it not occur to Ms. Clinton that half the people in Libya were loyal supporters of Gaddafi, and just might, somewhere down the road, retaliate? Apparently not.

Nor did it occur to these criminally negligent overseers of the safety of not just Americans at home, but of our citizens serving in our embassies and consulates abroad, that after all this provocation, the anniversary of 9/11 just might be an appropriate time for heightened security that included at least giving our security personnel ammunition for their weapons. The Fraud in the White House has been far too busy playing golf and doing fundraisers with “celebrities” for His collapsing campaign to attend even half of the daily intelligence briefings.

So, combined with His cock-sure belief He knows more than anyone else about everything, it comes as no surprise that He was caught flat-footed and clueless. Nor is it a surprise to anyone who has watched Him over the past three-and-a-half-years that His reaction to the deaths of one of His ambassadors and three other Americans was wooden, devoid of genuine emotion, and slow in coming.

The upshot is that the Obama Administration’s Middle East Policy – calling pandering and floundering, and selling out our allies a policy, is, I admit, a stretch – the upshot is that it has failed utterly and completely. It‘s a smoking ruin of consulates and embassies in a dozen Muslim counties, many of which had “Arab Spring” uprisings, supported by Obama, Clinton, and a whole lot of other Democrats who are now tellingly silent, with participants that have now turned their violent attentions toward us. All that remains to create a perfect maelstrom is for Iran, in alliance with Obama’s pals in the Muslim Brotherhood, to launch a nuke at Jerusalem, the capital of Israel that the Democrat Conventioneers refused to recognize, setting off what could easily turn into World War III.

Okay. Bill Clinton, post-Kennedy keeper of the Keys to Camelot has waxed poetic and endorsed Beaurat Obama at the Democratic National Convention. Let us all hold hands and proclaim as one: who cares?

To receive an endorsement from the Liar in Chief, the Master Prevaricator, the man whose morally dysfunctional habits nearly exceeded Caligula’s in his depth of depravity has made it known he sees Beaurat Obama as his champion. If that isn’t a slug endorsing the grub-worm I don’t know what is.

It never ceases to amaze that some politicians can present their side of the equation with a sense of moral elevation when they have no idea what the heck a moral is other than to mispronounce the word; AMORAL. The political world requires there be a certain laxity in the moral workings of parties and some candidates. It’s been long thought politicians are absolved of the regular constraints we mere mortals must adhere to but this is ridiculous.

Bill Clinton is a known perjurer; a liar before the courts of this land. He lied to his wife. He lied to the American people. He’s lied to everybody in this nation. He was impeached and censured. And, we’re supposed to believe him when he says Obama is what’s best for this country? He bases his endorsement on the elasticity of his spoken words stretched to fit the fiction he and his party want to place before the people so they may keep control of the White House. The man takes specifically constructed ideations and does no more than recite what’s on the teleprompter with an assuredness only a born con-man could execute. His snake-oil ferments in the bottle.

The man said he smoked dope but didn’t inhale. Yeah, right! He “did NOT have sexual relations with that woman” (Monica Lewinski). It always ticked some of us off to know political propriety required the real question could not be asked in polite society: “Did any part of your anatomy enter into any part of her anatomy in any way, shape or form to be considered as an act of sexual arousal?”

That might have gotten a true statement from the guy. Instead we got a vapid allusion to the fact we must explain “what the definition of the word is, is”. (Say what!?)
Bill Clinton has spent about as much time and money rehabilitating his image as British Petroleum. Neither endeavor will ever be completely successful as long as videotape and I still exist. Both situations were travesties foisted on the American people undeservedly.

We didn’t merit either of them. But they say Karma is a son-of-a-gun and maybe Clinton and BP are payback for The Little Bighorn, or the Bay of Pigs or Wounded Knee or something similar. Lord knows they’ve both been a trial of our patience. They just won’t go away.

Jim Messina, Obama for America Campaign Manager didn’t get much sleep last night.  Sleepless donkeys began braying.

At 4:42 a.m. EST, Messina sent an email to all, subject line: “What Paul Ryan said”.

In that wee hour telling email, Messina came right out and claimed the Obama regime’s utter ownership of the mainstream media:

“If you’ve seen any coverage of Paul Ryan’s speech in Tampa, you know that the consensus among journalists and independent observers is that it was…factually challenged.” (See email below).

“The consensus among journalists?”

Now the Obama team not only owns the MSM, they openly brag about it.

Obama recently claimed he wasn’t tuning in on any of the Republican National Convention (RNC), but Messina at 4:42 a.m., and David Axelrod, before him at the stroke of midnight, were trying in desperation to pull the Obama campaign out of its noisy nosedive.

The campaign, which recently upped its contribution request from grassroots little folk, from $3 to $5 is running scared.

But donkeys are more legendary for braying than they are for their speed in races.

If there is one thing the Obama 2012 Reelection campaign has proved is that negativity is a dead end street.

With 23 million Americans now actively seeking work, the Democratic heresy that the Republicans are anti-women and are out to get the elderly, is falling on mostly deaf ears.  Under the Obama administration, most Americans are living in the negative world the Dems have created and are just trying to get by.

Republican candidate for vice president Paul Ryan couldn’t have been more on the mark when he talked about how out-of-work young people who have returned to the bedrooms of their parents’ houses looking up at fading Barack Obama posters deserve better.

With the exception of one column previously penned, I pray this becomes my most widely read to date.

The secular left has mastered use of the Internet to further its extremist goals. In fact, President Obama’s web-based “Organizing for America” propaganda machine may have given him the 2008 election.

Let’s beat them at their own game.

To that end, I have a strange request. I’m asking each God-fearing, freedom-loving American who reads this column to forward it, post it, tweet it, print it out and give it to every pastor, priest or cleric you know. If you don’t know any, give it to someone who does.

Why? I agree with Barack Obama that November 2012 represents the most important election of our lifetimes – perhaps our history. Of course, that’s where my agreement with Mr. Obama both begins and abruptly ends.

Here’s the operable question: Do we want America “fundamentally transformed” to mirror the secular-socialist ideals of the radical leftist currently “occupying” the White House?

In Barack Obama’s America, individual freedom is trampled beneath jackboots as a matter of course. It’s already happening at an unprecedented rate.

One need only look to the HHS mandate forcing Christian groups – both Catholic and Protestant – to violate, under penalty of law, biblical prohibitions against abortion homicide.

Or consider recent attempts by multiple elected officials, all Democrats, to shutdown Chick-fil-A – a private, Christian-owned business – simply because its leadership holds the biblical view of marriage.

Is this George Washington’s America, or Joseph Stalin’s Russia?

It’s definitely not your father’s USA.

Instead, wouldn’t we prefer the America envisioned by our Founding Fathers? A constitutional republic wherein individual liberty – whether economic, First Amendment or Second Amendment-related – is sacrosanct and off limits?

Pastors, you’re it. You’re our front line of defense. It’s up to you to rally the troops. Now begins the second American Revolution and, as with the first, it’s on you – men of the cloth – to take the lead.

That is, if you hope to remain free to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Speaking of chicken: In recent years there’s been an epidemic of cultural inaction exhibited by far too many ministers of the gospel. It’s fear-based. “Oh, I don’t talk about political issues,” they say. “You know, ‘separation of Church and State’ and all that.”

Baloney.

If this is you – and only you and our Lord know for sure – you’ve been deceived by the enemies of God. You’ve chosen the easy way out – the path of least resistance. This is something Christ, whom all Christians are called to emulate, never did – not once.

So, respectfully, man-up, Padre! Be the “salt and light of the world,” as Christ so admonished.

But you don’t have to go it alone. There are detailed, easily digestible tools available. Civil-rights firm Liberty Counsel, for instance, is distributing more than 100,000 copies of “Silence is Not an Option,” a concise, though comprehensive, DVD and printed material collection informing pastors and churches about what is permissible regarding political activity (Please, get it for your church at LC.org or by calling 1-800-671-1776).

“The church must be empowered to confront the assaults on our culture, our faith, and our freedom,” said Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel. ”I don’t want any pastor, church leader or lay person to say, ‘What more could I have done to protect life and liberty?’”

“Silencing people of faith in the public square has always been the goal of those who realize the influence that pastors, churches and people of faith have on elections. I want pastors to remove the muzzle and replace it with a megaphone,” he said. “Pastors and churches have a lot of freedom to address biblical and moral issues, to educate people about the candidates, and to encourage people to vote. Not one church has ever lost its tax-exemption for endorsing or opposing candidates or for supporting or opposing local, state or federal laws.”

Did you get that? Despite hundreds of thousands of threatening letters sent by hard-left groups like the ACLU and Barry Lynn’s Americans United, not a single church has lost tax-exemption for socio-political activity – zip, zero, nada. Not even for endorsing candidates from the pulpit.

Indeed, if these anti-Christian bullies had been around two-and-a-half centuries ago, and our forefathers had paid them any mind, we may never have had the first American Revolution.

Don’t let them halt the second.

We’re on the precipice of the abyss, and, pastors, I think you know it. But know this too: There’s a whole lot relating to both culture and politics you can both say and do, and very little – if anything – you can’t.

Churches can educate about political, moral and biblical issues. These kinds of issues – whether abortion, marriage, feeding the poor or any community issue – are never off limits from the pastor’s pulpit, even if politicians are also talking about them. “Silence is Not an Option” systematically addresses the misrepresentations used to muzzle America’s pastors and Christian leaders.

Leading up to Ronald Reagan’s landslide presidential victory in 1980, Rev. Jerry Falwell captured the crux of the church’s apathy problem: “What is wrong in America today?” he asked. “We preachers – and there are 340,000 of us who pastor churches – we hold the nation in our hand. And I say this to every preacher: We are going to stand accountable before God if we do not stand up and be counted.”

Dr. Falwell’s words ring no less true today.

Imagine the benefit to our culture if thousands of churches across America registered millions of Christians to vote. How about pledge-drives wherein pastors ask tens-of-millions of Christians to simply commit to voting biblical values?

The possibilities are limitless.

Proverbs 4:18 reminds us: “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”

Shine bright, salt and light. Don’t be choked into dark silence.

Because silence is not an option.

It can’t be.

A Prayer For Our Nation… by Dub and Deb over at Canada Free Press

Good morning, guys! It’s great to be alive and well, isn’t it? We sure hope this post finds you all in the same boat.

Today we’ll change up just a little and talk about the fate of our Country some, and touch on our religious beliefs as well.

For all that didn’t know Deb, you missed out. She truly was a good Christian woman. She believed in God, she loved God, and she’d profess her faith in God to all that inquired, “How can you stay so happy and upbeat dealing with your cancer?”

Her answer was always the same. She’d point skyward with that little finger of hers and state, “HE…shows me the way.”

And he did. Of this I have no doubt. Deb used to tell me, “He talks to me.”

In the beginning I’d have reservations of this ACTUALLY taking place. I’d think, “Well, maybe she dreamed that he spoke with her.” As time passed, I became convinced that Deb did in fact hold conversations with our Lord.

After living with Deb our last 14 and a half months together it was so apparent to me, and anyone else that had contact with her, we just knew this woman was indeed living, and having, a very, very special relationship with God. He smiled on her daily.

Before carrying on with this post this morning I’d like you to stop for just a moment and ponder, “Is God living in my life?” If so, you know what I’m talking about. If not, I only wish you would take just a moment and ask God to come into your own life. He’s there for us, we only have to ask him in.

In my own regard, I personally struggle every day in my attempt to live a better, more fulfilling life as a Christian. It ain’t easy, and I come up short far too many times for even my own liking, but fortunately for us all…we have a forgiving God. He loves us each and every one!

Does the Democratic Party have a death wish? It continues to display a suicidal desire to offend the delegates to its forthcoming convention and the rest of the voters.

In recent days we learned that it is contemplating a platform plank that would endorse same-sex marriage, something that its core African-American voters detest. Maybe they are after the gay vote, but gays constitute barely three percent of the population and not all are Democrats.

It has been announced that former President Jimmy Carter will address the convention via video. Widely regarded as the worst president of the modern era, if not of all the presidents until Obama was elected, Carter in his post-presidential life is best known for embracing every dictator he ever met, for attacking Israel as an “apartheid” state and as a staunch defender of the Palestinians whom even fellow Arabs dislike. I am sure many American Jews, another voting bloc for Democrats, will likely be offended by his participation.

Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts candidate for the Senate who originated the “You didn’t build that” meme that Obama embraced will be another convention speaker and, it turns out, she enhanced her resume by claiming to be a native American with an infinitesimal amount of Cherokee blood. Even the Cherokee nation has disowned her. There goes the Native American vote.

In an odd decision the Democrats have given the job of nominating Obama to former President Bill Clinton. Never mind that he was the first President since Andrew Johnson to be impeached while in office or the first to be exposed for having an affair with a White House intern as young as his daughter. As President, he witnessed the return to power in Congress by Republicans. Many of the programs for which he is given credit were initiated by them. Obama has just used yet another executive order to gut the welfare reform program he signed into law!

Harry Reid, the Majority Leader in the Senate who has blocked more bills from even being debated than anyone in modern memory, recently stood in the well of the Senate to announce that an anonymous source—a little birdie—told him that Mitt Romney had not filed his tax returns since shortly after the end of the Civil War. He was soundly denounced for such piffle, but it does reflect the kind of lies the Democrats are now resorting to.

To My Canadian Friends,

I rarely get the chance to listen to talk radio, as I’m working during the day.  Yes, despite the Obama economy, I have a job.  I’m an independent contractor.  And despite what Barack Obama said in Roanoke, Virginia, recently (to business owners: “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that”), I did build my business.

I paid for and went through the training in my field, I busted my hump finding clients, and I often work 12 hours or more a day to turn out the best quality product possible so that I can keep my clients.  Mr. Obama, I DID build this, with no help from you.

But back to my original point: I had an appointment that required some driving the other day, and while I was on the road I decided to listen to the radio.  Glenn Beck, a popular conservative talk radio host was on, and he was kidding around about wanting to get out the country if Obama gets re-elected.  “Canada, let us in!” he joked, to the laughter of his co-hosts.

I doubt Beck is honestly considering leaving the country, but many Americans are.  Including me.

I am grateful to have been born in America.  I love my country, but over the past several years I have become more and more convinced that the U.S. is in a political, economic, and possibly even a moral death spiral from which it may not recover for decades, if ever.  Even if Mitt Romney is elected this November (something I find increasing doubtful), the very fact that Barack Obama was elected in 2008 and the fact that he is not trailing Romney by a double-digit margin after three-and-a-half disastrous years in office tells me that much of the American populace has no understanding of the most basic economic principles, or of the text or meaning of the U.S. Constitution.  I fear that regardless of who is elected this year, anti-free-market and anti-freedom politicians like Barack Obama will continue to dominate the American political landscape far into the foreseeable future.  The consequences of their policies will be disastrous for this country.

I know that Canada is not perfect, but I also feel that Canada is headed in the right direction.  I was heartened when the Conservative Party won a majority in the 2011 federal election, and I was even more heartened that the Liberals under Michael Ignatieff (heavily supported, ironically, by the American liberal elite) self-destructed.  Right now it is Canada that is setting the example of freedom and economic liberty in North America, and I feel that it is going to be this way for some time to come.  I desperately want to be a part of that.

The problem is that Canadian immigration law makes it tough for those in my position to move north.  As I said, I am an independent contractor.  I work exclusively online with clients from around the world.  That means that I can work from anywhere.  It also means that I don’t need a job in Canada, and there’s the rub.  If I were unemployed and received a Canadian job offer, I could get in.  If my company were worth millions and I could open an office in Canada and employ Canadians, I could get in.  But because I work solo and don’t need a Canadian job, I’ve fallen through the cracks.  There are many like me.

Would Canada welcome Obama refugees with open arms?

Not according to the rules as currently set up by Canada Immigration.

Rigid screening is slowing approvals of Americans coming to Canada and someone should be demanding to know why.

“Strict (immigration) rules only grant visas to Americans with pre-arranged jobs and students willing to pay high tuition fees to cash-strapped universities,” CTV discovered in a July 11th interview with Canada’s Immigration Minister Jason Kenney.

The door seems firmly shut for all other Americans wanting to move to the country next door.

Googling the US-Canada immigration story shows that President George Bush is still the bogeyman for Americans wanting to flee America for political reasons.

Hollywood malcontents like Robert Redford, who allegedly said he would hightail it for Ireland if Bush were reelected in 2004;  Alec Baldwin who threatened to depart from U.S. soil; American film director Robert Altman claiming to be ready to leave for France;  a France ditto for Pierre Salinger, White House Press Secretary during the Kennedy administration and ‘Spooky Dude’ George Soros are still ‘livin’ in the USA’.

Frustrating to some that the legions of those threatening to leave America over George W. never left but still dominate leaving stories on Google.

Forstchen’s novel, One Second After, is an amazingly vivid story of small town’s struggles after all electricity has been destroyed by EMP.” (Daniel Halper, the weekly Standard, July 2, 2012)

Since utilities in Ohio, Virginia, and Maryland described damage to their power grids as catastrophic, it was painfully evident that nobody was or is prepared for a potential disaster from a powerful storm, much less a solar flare, cyber-attack, or an electro-magnetic pulse (EMP).

To handle the demand, utilities brought crews from out of state to work on the power grid. A quite common occurrence, straight-line winds brought down trees and the nation’s capital to its knees. The D.C. “Department of Transportation reported that 69 trees had fallen on public space, although not in roadways.” Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski, Maryland Democrat, said, “In terms of federal assistance, this is unprecedented. We will have to look at how to do that.”(The Washington Times, July 1, 2012)

If Mother Nature created such havoc with straight-line winds that unprecedented federal assistance was necessary, what would happen if a hurricane hit or a Trojan virus attacked the Smart Grid?

Stephen Moore of the Wall Street Journal said in his column, “sweltering in the dark is a glimpse into America’s future if the “greens” have their way. Electrical power is the central nervous system of our modern economy. Yet every initiative by green groups is focused on reducing our access to electrical power.” (When the Moore Family Lost Power, WSJ, July 4, 2012)

Clean and renewable energy, like wind and solar, only provide 3 % of our electricity, far short of powering the largest economy on earth. After billions of dollars of subsidies in solar and wind energy, companies are still going bankrupt, long after Solyndra LLC’s demise. The excuse is that they cannot compete against the Chinese. Recently, Abound Solar Inc. of Loveland, Colorado, suspended operations and sought bankruptcy in Wilmington, Delaware, after receiving $400 million in Department of Energy loan guarantees.

Chuck Neubauer said that Nevada Geothermal Power, with a $98.5 million loan guarantee from the Obama administration, had financial problems (substantial debt and not enough cash generated from its operations) and the auditors were wondering whether it could stay in business.

What most people have avoided discussing is the fact that the power grid is very vulnerable to disruptions and “catastrophic failure,” particularly the Smart Grid. Currently, not everyone is attached to the Smart Grid because the Smart Meters installation has not been completed.

Some citizens who know what Smart Meters are and do, reject them on the basis of intrusion into their lives without a search warrant; health issues from constant radiation, and loss of control to the power company to shut off electricity during peaks of consumption, usually very hot and very cold days.

The Supreme Court ruling upholding Obamacare cast a pall over the Shire and the Hobbits residing within its borders. Not since the Dark Lord’s proclamation in 2008 that he was five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America has this Hobbit felt more terrified and depressed.

I spent two and one-half hours alternately crying and trying to justify my continued involvement in the grass roots tea party movement.  Why continue to devote every waking hour to trying to restore the country I love when there seemed to be no way of stopping her destruction? How do I look my grandchildren in the eye and explain exactly what just happened to them? Do I tell them Grandma tried but failed and now I’m tired and dispirited and can fight no longer?

Everywhere else in the world, statues of the mighty St. Patrick hold a shamrock symbolizing the Holy Trinity.  In Kinkora, Ontario, it’s a tulip.

The tulip-bearing statue of St. Patrick in Kinkora is the bold face of a smoldering battle aimed at taking down the community’s single Sunday morning Tridentine (Latin) Mass, its humble pastor and talented cantor.

Somewhat cult-like in nature, it’s a battle being raged in the most surprising of places.

In all other ways, the crossroads of Kinkora, Ontario, truly lives up to its Irish Gaelic name, which translates to “a lovely place”.  If Kinkora were a picture in a travel magazine, it would be ripped out and put up as framed pictures on living room walls.

Easy to give in to dreams of peace and plenty driving along pastoral roads leading to Kinkora and its hauntingly beautiful St. Patrick’s Church.

One could assume there is mostly good in the world when in postcard-perfect Kinkora, where physical threats of any kind seem so far away.

But like all who wanted to attend St. Patrick’s Tridentine Mass Sunday morning, I had to make my way to get inside the church through ‘protesters’ on the lawns and sidewalks.  There was a homespun odor of horse manure at the scene, and I naively thought it was wafting from plentiful nearby farms.  On hot, humid days, it’s sometimes the odor of pig or chicken excrement.  Sulphur, it seems comes in many flavours.

Surely the Irish who built the neo-Gothic church in 1882 didn’t intend it as the someday scene of Occupy Wall Street-like hostilities where bad things are arranged in beautiful but off-public-radar places,  too tiny to even be called villages.

No one making their way to the Tridentine Mass worries about having their best Sunday suit roughed up or their lace mantilla knocked to the ground.  But most worry about physical attacks on innocent little altar boys by protesters incensed by church incense,  threats of physical assault, or the threatened shooting of a 12-lb. pet mutt.

With the blessings of the Holy Father, the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite is celebrated each Sunday in only about two dozen Canadian churches.

In Kinkora, there is the ordinary 10 a.m. Mass, and two others in the nearby Town of Mitchell at St. Vincent de Paul Church.

No one is forcing anyone in Kinkora to attend the Latin Mass, but rabble rousers claim “This is our church!” and tell the Gregorian chant cantor “Go back to Toronto with your Latin Mass”.

It is worthy of note that friendly decent Kinkora people are many.  The rabble rousers, who claim to represent the entire community, number only in the handful.

Even so, they create a scene more worthy of the past Black Donnellys of Canada or the Hatfields and McCoys of America than Sunday morning service celebrating the Eucharist.

This is the message the Vice President of the United States of America delivered to a U.S. Conference of Mayors yesterday,  the same day that his boss advised America that his latest executive order would halt the deportation of tens of thousands of young illegal immigrants in America.

In the same speech to American mayors, Biden boasted about the 600,000 miles he has traveled “so far” as Vice President.

No matter how many miles he’s put in globetrotting, Biden has gone no further than his adulating school boy desk in the infamous ‘Drool School for China’,  master minded by anti-American UN Poster Boy Maurice Strong.

When you’re on the wrong side of Planned Parenthood, you’re on the right side of history.

The left’s disingenuous and intellectually lazy “war on women” talking points have blown up in its face. Most polls show Mitt Romney fast gaining on President Obama with female voters. Some polls even show him pulling ahead.

Still, it’s the multi-billion dollar abortion industry that may just give Romney the boost he needs to take a permanent lead. Just days after pro-life investigative group Live Action released devastating evidence that Planned Parenthood systemically engages in the grisly practice of sex-selection abortion – a charge to which it now admits – the cash-flush abortion Goliath has done Obama an ironic disservice by endorsing his re-election bid. The group has additionally launched a $1.4 million advertising campaign to smear Mitt Romney.

Let’s put aside for a moment the scandalous disclosure that while Planned Parenthood receives over 350 million per annum in your taxpayer dollars, it nonetheless spends millions engaging in partisan politicking for the DNC. Troubling as that may be, utterly horrific is the revelation that this extremist organization – which absurdly presumes to defend “women’s rights” – has been caught red-handed torturing little girls to death in mamma’s womb, simply because mamma wanted a boy.

This discovery – eerily reminiscent of Communist China’s forced one-child sex-selection policy – has shocked the conscience of an entire nation. So disturbing are the facts that on Thursday the U.S. House of Representatives voted on the Prenatal Non-Discrimination Act (PRENDA), H.R. 354, introduced by Republicans in Congress. Unbelievably, because the bill required a two-thirds majority for passage, Democrats were able to narrowly abort the measure by a vote of 246-168.

The legislation, which would have outlawed sex-selection abortions altogether, was also opposed by President Obama. This comes as little surprise when you consider that, while a state senator, Obama repeatedly fought Illinois’ Born Alive Infant Protection Act. This law simply required that when a baby survives a botched abortion – when she is “born alive” – further attempts to kill her must immediately cease, and steps must be taken to save her life.

But according to our president – leader of the “civilized” world – a law preventing the abortionist from finishing her off is “really designed simply to burden the original decision of the woman and the physician to induce labor and perform an abortion.”

This, coupled with Democratic support for sex-selection abortion (now on record), represents the true “war on women.” This is misogyny at its deadly worst. Take note, America: Obama and Democrats have officially endorsed the Mengelian practice of explicitly targeting little girls – over boys – for live dismemberment.

The Constitution made it clear that the government was not to interfere with productive nonviolent human energy. This is the key element that has permitted America’s great achievements and made America the political and economic envy of the world. We have truly been blessed.”

 

To all who cherish our individual liberty, do not despair. Let us not give up in our effort to save our Representative Republic from the now constant attacks from president Barack Obama and his czars upon our system of Constitutional Law. We, the American people, must unite and come together now as never before in the history of this great nation. If we will stand with each other, as the American people, forgetting political party ties, we can and must save ourselves and keep this Republic from being destroyed and replaced by Barack Obama Socialism.
