Liberal Mayors Deny Businesses The Right To Operate In Their Cities By The Godfather

The Mayors are wrong in banning Christian companies from their cities. It doesn’t just make these mayors look like bigots, it makes them look like tyrants of the huge size. What are they afraid of that a Christian company might bring some light into the darkness of their cities?

Liberal Mayors Deny Businesses the Right to Operate in Their Cities by The Godfather over at Godfather Politics

Big-City mayors are attacking Chick-fil-A by threatening to deny them a business license to operate. These liberal mayors don’t like the public stand the owners have taken on defending biblical marriage. This is tyranny of the first order. First it was punishment for “hate crimes,” then it was for “hate speech,” and now it’s hate “thought crimes.”

The mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel, welcomes an anti-semite but refuses to allow a Christian business to operate within the city. Emanuel said, “Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago values. They’re not respectful of our residents, our neighbors, and our family members. And if you’re gonna be part of the Chicago community, you should reflect Chicago values.” I suppose the “values” of an anti-semite are Chicago’s values:

Ignoring Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan’s history of anti-Semitic remarks, Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Wednesday welcomed the army of men dispatched to the streets by Farrakhan to stop the violence in Chicago neighborhoods.

Maybe if these gang members had jobs at Chick-fil-A violence would go down. When will Jews get the message that Democrats are not their friends?

Even liberal newspaper editorials think the actions of the mayors of Chicago, Boston, and Mountain View, California, are way out of line:

“Public officials have a responsibility to carry out their ministerial tasks fairly and evenhandedly – and to uphold the principle of free speech – whether or not they like a business executive’s social or political stances,” the [Los Angeles] Times opined.

“The Boston Globe wondered “which part of the First Amendment does [Boston Mayor Thomas] Menino not understand? A business owner’s political or religious beliefs should not be a test for the worthiness of his or her application for a business license.”

What’s next? If a business owner opposes abortion — even though he is not in the anti-abortion business — will that business owner be denied a business license? Will Republican business owners be denied a business license if they oppose ObamaCare?

Stephen Colbert May Be Funny But He Doesn’t Know Much About The Bible By The Godfather

Stephen Colbert May be Funny but He Doesn’t Know Much about the Bible by The Godfather over at Godfather Politics

Stephen Colbert of the Colbert Report weighed in on President Obama’s support for homosexual marriage. The Los Angeles Times reports that “Colbert took the opportunity to debunk the claim, propagated by many Christian conservatives, that Jesus condemned homosexual relationships. . . . Colbert decided to go directly to the source. ‘I would like to read to you what the Jesus said about homosexuality,’ he declared, breaking out his trusty Bible. ‘I would like to, but he never said anything about it. Evidently Jesus was so filled with rage that he was speechless.’”

Let’s follow Colbert’s logic to see where it takes us. Jesus did not condemn rape, slavery, incest, or sex with animals, therefore, neither should we. What Jesus did do was affirm the marital norm of one man and one woman in a marital relationship in His discussion about divorce based on what the Bible had already codified:

And [Jesus] answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE, and said, ‘FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH’?” (Matt. 19:4–5).

The standard is one man and one woman. Any relationship that deviates from this norm is unbiblical. There was no need for Jesus to repeat every law as it was written.

A Little History That If We Don’t Know It We Will Be Condemned To Repeat It By The Godfather

A Little History that If We Don’t Know It We Will Be Condemned to Repeat It by The Godfather over at Godfather Politics

“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to posses arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by doing so.” — Adolph Hitler 193

“Waiting periods are only a step. Registration is only a step. The prohibition of private firearms is the goal.” — Janet Reno, Former U.S. Attorney General

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control.

From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

President Obama Owns Al Sharpton, “Rev.” Wright, The Black Panthers And Their Racist Rant By The Godfather

The Godfather has a real good piece here about Obama. The Godfather makes total sense. Obama owns this racist play.

President Obama Owns Al Sharpton, “Rev.” Wright, the Black Panthers and Their Racist Rant by The Godfather Over at Godfather Politics

The George Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin spectacle has done more to set back race relations in the United States than any other event in recent history. It’s been all about race. There’s justice somewhere in all of this, but will it ever be found? That’s the question that needs to be answered. I doubt that it will ever be answered since there is a strategy to keep the pot of racist rhetoric boiling. Victims make for good allies in a political war.

It’s great to see George Zimmerman confronting Attorney General Eric Holder and the so-called Department of Justice on the basis of the law. Only in America can a citizen take on the powers that be. The Constitution codifies that God-given right. We can “petition the government for a redress of grievances,” the First Amendment assures us. Try it in Cuba, Venezuela, China, or North Korea.

Will Holder arrest the Black Panthers who have threatened Zimmerman given the federal government’s definition of a hate crime? The letter Zimmerman’s family sent to Attorney General Eric Holder asks, “why, when the law of the land is crystal clear, is your office not arresting the New Black Panthers for hate crimes?”

The Black Panthers, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the racist lynch mobs belong to the Obama Administration. Not to denounce them is to support them. There’s no neutrality.

Massachusetts Elementary School Gets Caught Censoring “God” From Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless The U.S.A.” By The Godfather

Massachusetts Elementary School Gets Caught Censoring “God” from Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless The U.S.A.” by The Godfather over at God father Politics

How many times have you heard that Christians are all about censorship? Don’t believe it. It’s secularists who are the real censors. The latest secular act of censorship was changing the words of Lee Greenwood’s song “God Bless the USA” with “We Love the USA.” This was done at Stall Brook Elementary School in Bellingham, Massachusetts. What a great thing to teach children. It’s OK to change the facts to fit your worldview.

It’s not surprising that NBC edited an audio tape to make George Zimmerman sound like a racist. The methodology was taught in elementary school.

Parents were outraged at the change, but instead of using the song as written, with God in the title, the school pulled it from the children’s concert. Here’s what Lee Greenwood had to say about the controversy:

“We can’t take God out of the song, we can’t take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance. We can’t take God off of the American currency. Let us also remember, the phrase ‘God Bless the USA’ has a very important meaning for those in the military and their families, as well as new citizens coming to our country. The song is played at every naturalization ceremony behind the national anthem. If the song is good enough to be played and performed in its original setting under those circumstances, it surely should be good enough for our children.” (Source

Bruce Springsteen Wants To “Take Care of Our Own” With Other People’s Money By The Godfather

You know, I believe the Godfather is right on.

Bruce Springsteen Wants to “Take Care of Our Own” With Other People’s Money by The Godfather over at Godfather Politics

I don’t have any problem with musicians, actors, and athletes making boat loads of money. It’s a free world. They’ve developed a skill or a persona that people want to pay money to be part of, more power to them.

But here’s what really ticks me off. When these same self-righteous do-nothings support a political party that pushes through legislation that takes money out of money pocket so it can go to a voting constituency so liberals can stay in power, I resent it.

My resentment runs even deeper when these multi-millionaires leave in the highest seats of luxury, own multiple homes, drive expensive cars parked in 12-car-stall garages, and fly in private jets. I had the utmost respect for Paul Newman. Although a liberal, at least he did something with his fame in creating a food line that I guess has done some good to the less fortunate.

How To Talk About Religion The Ronald Reagan Way

The Godfather has something important to say on Ronald Reagan. It time to listen.

How to Talk About Religion the Ronald Reagan Way by The Godfather over at Godfather Politics

It’s been said that religion and politics do not mix. It all depends on how religion and politics mix. One of the best examples of mixing religion and politics is the “Evil Empire” speech that Ronald Reagan gave to the National Association of Evangelicals on March 8, 1983 in Orlando, Florida.

Reagan warmed up the audience with references to prayer and got a laugh out of the audience. Then he told a joke about a clergyman and a politician who are in heaven. Again, they laughed. It was a great dig about politicians.

At the same time, he did not denigrate everybody serving in government. “So, I tell you there are a great many God-fearing, dedicated, noble men and women in public life, present company included. And, yes, we need your help to keep us ever mindful of the ideas and the principles that brought us into the public arena in the first place.” Masterful.

Why the Government Must Control the Internet

Why the Government Must Control the Internet by The Godfather over at Godfather Politics

It wasn’t too long ago that that we had three sources of national news: ABC, CBS, and NBC. Print media were limited to the daily newspaper and national news magazines like Time, Newsweek, and U.S. News & World Report. No more.

The media gatekeepers are few and far between today. The last gate – the biggest gate – is the internet. If it can’t be controlled, the people can’t be controlled. That’s why governments around the world are working to implement ways to control it. A nation like China just does it, but here in the United States the pretense of a legitimate legal remedy must be found.

Congress got slapped down with an all-out internet frontal attack that shut down their phone lines. Republican Senator Everett Dirksen (1896–1969) explains what happens when sustained pressure is put on Congress: “When we feel the heat, we see the light.” Gary North comments:

The Godfather Says Liberalism Will Die By Its Own Hand

Why Liberalism Will Die by its Own Hand by The Godfather over at Godfather Politics

On the eve of 39th anniversary of the 1973 Roe v. Wade pro-abortion decision, the Obama administration has mandated that “many church-affiliated institutions will have to cover free birth control for employees.” This does not mean that Christians will have to get abortions. Keep this in mind as you read the rest of this article.

Not only is Obama the food stamp president, the unemployment president, the no drilling for oil here president, the pro-homosexual military president, he is now the abortion president.

What I’m about to write may seem inappropriate given the tragedy of abortion. Sometimes when people are confronted with the consequences of their worldview the blinders come off. And if they don’t, they will have no future.

There are unintended consequences to what people believe and implement into law. For example, men in China are realizing the disastrous effects of their country’s one-child policy. If a family can only have one child, most Chinese families opt for males. As a result, there aren’t enough women for men to marry

The Job-Killing President

The Job-Killing President by The Godfather over at Godfather Politics

Newt Gingrich called President Obama “the best food-stamp president in American history.” Of course, liberals saw this as a coded racial slur:

“I don’t think he is consciously whipping up bigotry, but he is no fool and this is going to be seen through a racial prism,” David Greenberg, an associate professor at Rutgers University in New Jersey, said in an interview. “It has to do with how these issues are framed and understood. It wouldn’t be hard for him to mute or disavow the racial component.”

Here are the statistics. About 34 percent of food-stamp recipients are white, 22 percent black, and 16 percent Hispanic. Being a food stamp president is not about race; it’s about creating an economic environment that makes it easy for some people to accept being dependant on the State.

What would get these groups off food stamps? Jobs! What would make them less dependent on the government? Jobs! What would dilute their die-hard affiliation with the Democrat Party? Jobs!

Christian Rights?

Are We Seeing the End of the Christian Right- by The Godfather over at Godfather Politics

“When Mark Twain was in London, a rumor of his death or imminent death reached the editor of the New York Journal, who sent its London correspondent the following cablegrams: ‘IF MARK TWAIN [IS] DYING IN POVERTY IN LONDON SEND 500 WORDS’ and ‘IF MARK TWAIN HAS DIED IN POVERTY SEND 1000 WORDS.’ The Journal’s man showed the cable to Mark Twain, who suggested the substance of a reply to the effect that a cousin, James Ross Clemens[1], had been seriously ill in London, but had recovered. [Twain’s] reply ended with ‘[THE] REPORT OF MY DEATH [IS] GREATLY EXAGGERATED.’”[2]

In going through some old files, I came across and article that was written on December 15, 1989 that carried this title: “Whatever Happened to the Religious Right?” An article with a similar title – “The End of the Christian Right” – was written by Michael Kazin, professor of history at Georgetown University, and published at The New Republic on January 17, 2012.

People have been predicting the demise of the Christian Right for nearly 25 years, ever since the late Jerry Falwell shut down the Moral Majority in 1989.

The Godfather Talks About God Governing In The Affairs Of Man

I went over to Godfathers Politics to see what they were talking about today. The Godfather was talking God. I thought it was good piece.

‘God Governs in the Affairs of Men’ by The Godfather

I just got back from a recording session with the “Politichicks.” The four lovely young ladies asked me questions about the role Christianity played in the founding of America. In the short time I had, I addressed several topics. In order to answer the question, it’s necessary to get in the mind of a secularist. They depend on the majority of the people who read their works or listen to them on radio and television programs not to know much about our nation’s religious history.

One of them is Brooke Allen. In her article “Our Godless Constitution,” she argues that God was a “very minor player” in the history of the founding of America. How much evidence is necessary to disprove her assertion? Beginning with the founding of Jamestown in 1607, there’s a lot of evidence.

But even if we start with 1776 Allen’s claim is easily disproved since the Declaration includes four direct statements that reference God. Then there is the list of phrases that can be gleaned from the writings of the founders and the documents they drafted.

The Godfather Offers Some Tips On What To Do In A Crisis

When the Godfather offer some tips on what to do in a crisis, it is best to listen. This is the Godfather over at Godfather Politics.

Some Tips on What to Do in a Crisis by The Godfather

Actor Mark Wahlberg, in the February issue of Men’s Journal, claimed that if he had been on Flight 93 which crashed into a field in Pennsylvania after being hijacked on 9/11, he would have thwarted the terrorists. Here is what he said:

“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’”

It was a foolish thing to say. He has since apologized: “I deeply apologize to the families of the victims that my answer came off as insensitive, it was certainly not my intention,” he told TMZ. “To suggest I would have done anything differently than the passengers on that plane was irresponsible.”

This Recommended Article Is About Senator Harry Reid Written By The Godfather

You got to know when the Godfather writes about you, your deadmeat either politically or just gone, lol. Yeah, this the Godfather at Godfather Politics. He writes about crazy Senator Harry Reid.

Harry Reid- “Drop Dead” (Metaphorically Speaking) by The Godfather

The majority of voters in Nevada are stupid, stupid for re-electing Harry Reid for another Senate term of six long years. And their stupidity is affecting all of us. First, I can’t listen to the man. He is so condescending. He sounds like he just recovered from a coma. Second, he says stupid things, like this one: “Today is a big day in America. Only 36,000 people lost their jobs today.” Reid said this in response to what he considered to be a better-than-expected unemployment report showing the economy lost only 36,000 jobs in February 2010, compared to 651,000 in the same month the prior year.

His most recent stupid statement was about how millionaires don’t create jobs:

Many of our job creators are like unicorns, they’re impossible to find and don’t exist. That’s because only a tiny fraction of people making more than a million dollars, probably less than one percent, are actually small business owners and only a tiny fraction of that tiny fraction is a traditional job creator.

Now Sen. Reid wants Republicans to drop the Tea Party because he believes those associated with the grass roots movement are standing in the way of legislation to create jobs. In his best post-coma voice, Reid said the following:
