The Marxist Heart Of Darkness By Bruce Walker

This is an eye opener and at the same time spooky.

The Marxist Heart of Darkness by Bruce Walker over at American Thinker

Those who doubted Obama's immersion in Marxism now have a perfect window into his soul -- namely, in the form of the stunning class warfare remarks he recently made in Roanoke, Virginia.

We must grasp, however, what Marxism is and what it is not.  Marxism is not a political philosophy to help the poor at the expense of the rich, and it is not a design for a utopian future.  Marxism is simply a Heart of Darkness, a Siamese twin of Nazism, a curse on all humanity committed to three themes: (1) hatred, (2) misery, and (3) lying.

Marxism is neither a science nor a system of belief.  It is a rationale for seizing power and terrorizing all those who are not its cadres.  Marxism -- English Socialism, or "Ingsoc" -- was the secular religion of George Orwell's Oceania.  In Orwell's masterpiece, 1984, the interrogator of Winston Smith explains the goals of Ingsoc: "Power is not a mean, it is an end.  One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes a revolution in order to establish a dictatorship.  The object of persecution is persecution.  The object of torture is torture.  The object of power is power."

Stefan Possony in 1953 noted: "Kinetic communism often is termed an 'ideology,' as if the communist movement were held together by a bond of idealism, with individuals succumbing to communism because of its ideological attraction[.]"  He further explains that "communists are the heirs of the Mongols who conquered, not because they had an attractive ideology, but because they outperformed opponent in the fields of strategy and tactics" (A Century of Conflict, Possony).

Lunacharsky, the first Soviet commissar for education, proclaimed: "We hate Christianity and Christians; even the best of them must be looked upon as our worst enemies.  They preach love of our neighbors and mercy, which is contrary to our principles.  Down with the love of our neighbor; what we want is hatred"  (emphasis added).

Hatred is helped when people are in pain, so creating gratuitous misery is a goal of Marxism.  A key maxim of Marxism is "The worse, the better."  The Soviets were not bashful about announcing what they wanted: "The misery and oppression of the masses must be intensified to an extraordinary degree" (Sixth Party Congress of the International at Moscow).  Knickbocker, in his 1941 book about totalitarianism in Europe, observed: "Even before the war, in both Germany and Russia, the omnipotent, omnivorous State had devoured all but a vestige of happiness.  As the two regimes of hatred went forward along their respective paths each lost gradually even the desire to promote the happiness of anyone, even of its own people" (Is Tomorrow Hitler's?, Knickerbocker).

Reagan Knew, As We Must, That God Matters, God Matters By Bruce Walker

I believe that God matters. When I get overwhelmed and scared, I run to Him. I believe God is our way out this mess Leftists put in.

Reagan knew, as we must, that God matters, God Matters by Bruce Walker over at Canada Free Press

Leftism, in many ways, is simply rebellion against God. Conservatives are overwhelmingly more religious than leftists, and there is a reason for this grand divide. Conservatives know that “governments” are simply gaggles of morally flawed humans whose natural lust for power tends towards corruption and expediency.

Conservatives trust individual freedom and market economies not because we think people are naturally good but because we know that systems which allow choice provide a natural counterweight to men who would be gods. Freedom lets us gravitate toward less oppressive governments, more variety and quality and bargain in goods and services we consume, to happier relationships with our fellow man, and to all the other possible benefits of life itself.

Our system of limited government, “ordered liberty” as Supreme Court decisions used to describe it, simply maximizes the positive role of government in society: it can do no more. Heaven protect us from those who would banish all human misery through the whip of government and Heaven lead us to family, friends and neighbors content to make the world a little better.

Heaven and Hell are both very much concerns of even the agnostic conservatives on Earth. Those who try to make Heaven on Earth, as modern history shows so clearly, always make Hell on Earth, whether it is a Workers’ Paradise or a Thousand Year Reich or the Brave New World which seems the motif of modern leftism, no human efforts to banish and to replace God ever fail to collapse into misery and shame.

Stand Up For Rush - And All Of Us By Bruce Walker

Stand Up for Rush - and All of Us by Bruce Walker over at American Thinker

Jeffrey Lord at American Spectator has issued a challenge which all conservatives must heed. One can accept the Battleground Poll numbers which consistently report that about 60% of America calls itself conservative or the Gallup numbers which place conservatives as "only" about 40% of the nation or the Survey USA which states that 34% of Americans are conservative and 20% liberal. The fact remains the same: conservative America is much larger than leftist America.

Why, then, can the left engage in the most despicable behavior towards conservatives while Rush's remark about Ms. Fluke produces a firestorm of leftist activity? The left grasps that ballots in elections make for only one kind of vote that ideologically motivated Americans cast.

Every time conservatives stop watching CNN or take children out of public schools or stop supporting an organization which was once benignly neutral on ideological issues, conservatives cast marketplace ballots that count. But every time the left convinces us that we should not boycott corporations that slavishly toady to leftist whims or gratuitously offend us, we lose a battle that we cannot afford to lose.

If Fox Fails Us

If Fox Fails Us by Bruce Walker over at American Thinker

Over the last decade, conservatives have enjoyed Fox News, a national news network which has given conservatives a fair shake and which has been willing to expose the bigotry of the establishment media towards conservatism. Yet there is the chance that Fox News, when owner Rupert Murdoch dies, may drift towards the lockstep leftism so characteristic of other news networks.

Fortunately, for a couple of reasons, we need not fret too much if this does happen.

Mass communications, including network news, is driven in part by market forces. We should not overestimate this influence. If ideological competition operated in the area of network news, academia, or other parts of the communication and education domains, then half of the colleges would be overtly conservative, and most of the big newspapers and magazines would be conservative, and Hollywood would produce lots of films that exalt the values we share.

Darkness Of The Left's Heart

In Bruce Walker’s article, The Left's Heart of Darkness, he describes the heart of the left. The article is good read.

The Left's Heart of Darkness

On January 2, Alan Colmes on Fox News mocked presidential hopeful Rick Santorum and Santorum's wife for bringing their critically ill newborn son, Gabriel, into the world and then bringing him home. Gabriel died 16 years ago, and Karen Santorum wrote a heartrending book, Letters to Gabriel, which describes how the couple dealt with the grief of his death. Mother Teresa wrote the foreword for the book.

Although Colmes has quickly retreated from his remarks, his crudeness shows how the left really thinks. When Sarah Palin brings Trig, a child with Down Syndrome, into the world, and he is cherished and loved, the left spins its head -- why not just waste the kid before he was born? This mockery did not end with the 2008 campaign: Family Guy in 2010 made fun of Trig, and in April, another leftist goon mocked the young child on his third birthday. The left's heart of darkness is so dreadful that appalling bile seems normal to its minions until normal, moral people object.

Less noticed in the Fox News interview is Colmes's statement that Santorum is crazy also because he thinks that consensual sex between unmarried people is wrong. What offends Colmes and the left seems to be adherence to the traditional moral values of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and most of the world's historic metaphysical value systems. Santorum has not said that fornication is as great a sin as adultery, but he believes that sex should be confined within a marriage.
