Mario Murillo Has A Wonderful Message For Memorial Day

Saving Private You by Mario Murillo, Mario Murillo Ministries

SAVING PRIVATE YOU. A SERMON ABOUT MEMORIAL DAY BY MARIO MURILLO

saving-private-you

I know that this will come as a shock…today is not a day about buying a car or a sofa.  It is also not a day we honor veterans, we do that on Veteran’s day in November.  No, today is about stopping to remember that someone died for you.   Someone made the ultimate sacrifice.  They died to give us the freedoms so many abuse today.

Memorial Day was first known as “Decoration Day.”   It is not hard to guess why.   The nation would visit graves of fallen heroes and leave flowers and other tokens of gratitude and honor.

In the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan attached above, we see, perfectly depicted, the right response of a soul that knows someone died to save them.

One of Satan’s masterstrokes is to cheapen holy days.  He has done this for thousands of years.  To blur, devalue or even utterly redefine a holy day is his stock and trade.

We see this at Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving.  The meaning and intent of a solemn or joyous day is sapped by banal and bankrupt counterfeits.   Why does Satan do this?

The answer is clearly seen in the incident of King Jeroboam.  Jeroboam seized power from the House of David by using the anger of Israel toward Solomon’s son Rehoboam.  The Jews rejected Rehoboam after he vowed to raise taxes and reduce services to the people.

1 Kings 12: 26 Jeroboam thought to himself, “The kingdom will now likely revert to the house of David. 27 If these people go up to offer sacrifices at the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem, they will again give their allegiance to their lord, Rehoboam king of Judah. They will kill me and return to King Rehoboam.”

Likewise Satan knows that Holy Days can trigger a return to values and subsequently a return to God in our nation.

Our president is steering us the way Jeroboam steered Israel by cheapening or redefining American Holy Days.

The proof is in the fact that he:

-Regularly skips the National Day of Prayer.

- Renamed the National Christmas Tree the “Holiday Tree.”

-Went golfing on Memorial Day in 2009 and 2011; this despite the fact that George W. Bush refused to do it as president to honor the parents of those who lost loved ones.

Recently I took criticism for pointing out that as Memorial Day weekend began Obama did not return the salute to the Marine who saluted him at the door of Marine One helicopter.  Obama fans noted that he corrected this by stepping back outside the Helicopter and talking with the soldier.

My point is that there is no excuse for this oversight.  It smacks of a mind detached from honoring our military.

As the leader goes so go the sheep.   Memorial Day finds us oblivious to the treasure that families have spent to guarantee our freedom.

In a very real way we are all Private Ryan.   Satan wants to bury that fact.

Memorial Day cuts me to the heart that all over our nation there are moms and dads who  have lost sons and daughters and they did it for you and me.   Memorial Day also fuels my rage against our government’s tendency to take away the freedoms that our fallen heroes died to protect.

As an evangelist, I am constantly preaching a message about the One who died for us all, which is another reason why I am adamant about Memorial Day.

Satan did not want Israel to remember their Holidays, days and remembrances that could lead back to God.  Wonder what Satan thinks Americans might realize if they think long and hard about someone dying for them?

An Expose About Your Power To Make A Difference By Mario Murillo

AN EXPOSÉ ABOUT YOUR POWER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. by Mario Murillo, Mario Murillo Ministries

january-2-blog-art-copy

Look at our nation. She fights for her life as she has not fought since the Civil War. Her muscles fail from exertion, her mind grows weary, frantically seeking answers.

While parasites feed on the American Dream; our leaders apply cures that are worse than the disease. In this last Fiscal Cliff psycho-drama our elected officials looked like F Troop (with apologies to F Troop). It is the perfect storm: adversity meets incompetence.

David Wilkerson said, “Think about it: Nobody — no politician, economist or financial expert — has been able to explain the sudden evaporation of great wealth. It is a shaking that has spread rapid-fire throughout the earth, with no nation immune. These systems were considered too big to fail. And now everyone is baffled about what’s behind this widespread failure of humankind’s greatest institutions.”

What we are witnessing is God shaking everything that can be shaken.  “Mario, why tell me all of this when I am powerless to do anything about it?  This was the very question that David asked, “If the foundations are being destroyed what can the righteous do?” –Psalm 11:3.

What can the righteous do?  First let me tell you what not to do.  This is no time for soothing words. Soothing words will not break the stranglehold on your emotions, your loved ones, your finances, your church or your nation.  Many are flabby from flattering words of spiritual entitlement. Smiley faced sermons may appease our inner child but they do nothing about the wolf at the door.

Nehemiah was in the identical situation as Christians today.  He was called to build in a time of chaos, division, danger and lack.  He is the kind of general we need today and his words to the sheepish Jews are the words we need so desperately today:

“Do not be afraid of the enemy; [earnestly] remember the Lord and imprint Him [on your minds], great and terrible, and [take from Him courage to] fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.” Nehemiah 4:14.

Nehemiah gave us two burning truths of how to make a difference right now.

1. Remember the Majesty of God. Knowing the task before him, God infused Joshua with the majesty of God.  The wars that were coming were huge, unrelenting, against foes that were well entrenched and ready. “Joshua 1: 5 says, “ No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.   God was his formula for success and He is our formula for success.  He is storing strategies and stockpiling tactics for a special breed who see Him in His Splendor and are gazing at His Glory.

2. FIGHT!  David asked, “If the foundations are being destroyed what can the righteous do?” –Psalm 11:3.   Verse 4 answers the question, “The Lord is in His holy temple, The Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.”  God’s eyes are on us!  The mighty and awesome God that transformed Joshua is with us to fight and win.  2 Chronicles 16:9 tell us, “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.”

Fight because you know it is time to fight.  Fight for the freedoms you love but most of all for the people you love.  Nehemiah said nothing about how to fight.  Somehow he knew that if someone sees the majesty of God, they will see the evil of their day through God’s eyes and they will know what to do.  Why?  Because the greatest military tactician of all time who is more than  a conqueror will school them Himself!

The Only Thing You Need To Remember This Christmas. By Mario Murillo

The only thing you need to remember this Christmas. by Mario Murillo, Mario Murillo Ministries

nativitystorythe_photos_1

The only thing you need to remember this Christmas.

Matthew 2:3, “When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.”

Dear Friend,

There is only one thing you need to remember this Christmas and you need to start remembering it right now.  Yes, we live in a world of explosive insecurity.  Yes, we live in a time where disaster comes without warning and destroys lives instantly.

America has finally become the generation with nothing to look forward to.  This is a time where people are melting down because of a crushing sense of helplessness and despair.  Some react with mindless panic and rage. They shoot and kill their loved ones and then turn the gun on themselves rather than face their losses.  Others are too frozen in fear and uncertainty to do anything.  Still others frantically numb their despair by plunging into addictions and perversions that prior generations never imagined.

How deep and widespread is this panic?  It is so pervasive that it has seeped into the hearts of God’s people.  Many in the church, including leaders, admit that they have developed destructive addictions trying to cope with anxiety.

This Christmas threatens to be a time of very little comfort and joy.  Many who love the Lord passionately will not even celebrate it this year!  If you are under attack, if you feel the devastating sense of helplessness, then it is time for you to remember one thing about this Christmas.

Christmas is not just the story of the most important birth in history; it is the proof that an invisible force guards the children of God with unstoppable, irresistible, compassionate protection. Christmas unfolds the masterstroke of God our Father against evil.  Let me explain!

He was the most anticipated person in history and yet His arrival fooled everyone. It requires skill from beyond our planet to sneak the Desire of all nations into our world unobserved with only a handful taking notice. God can fool anyone and He cannot be fooled by anyone.

The Jews thought that when the Son of God arrived it would be with all the ceremony possible, that crowns and scepters should immediately have been laid at his feet, and that the high and mighty princes of the world should have been his humble servants.  He came into the world, and the world knew him not.  He came to his own, and his own received him not.

It was not as if his arrival was without fireworks. The first burst of wonder came to the shepherds in Luke Chapter 2.  They saw and heard glorious things concerning him, and made them known abroad, to the amazement of all that heard them. (v. 17&18) After this in Luke 2:38, Simeon and Anna spoke of him, by the Spirit, to all who were willing to listen.

You would think that this would have shaken the inhabitants of Judah andJerusalem, so that finally they would rise up as one and embrace the long-looked-for Messiah; but no.  He continued nearly two years more at Bethlehem, and no further notice was taken of him till these wise men came.

Trouble!  Matthew 2:3, “When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.”  These were no singing angels. They were mere men; notable men to be sure, but still just men. The Magi were the Persians philosophers and their priests.  No one could become a Persian king who had not first been enrolled among the Magi. It was their royalty that caused the entire ruckus.  When kings arrive and ask the local king, “Where is the real KING?” Something has to give!

“Where is he who is born King of the Jews?”  Their question made it clear that a new power was now freely working in the earth.  Moreover, this power operated as no other power had previously operated.  This power came and went as it pleased.  It raised the humble to be a force against the proud.  Love had taken on muscle and showed that a gentle but irresistible change was coming.  A new kingdom had come and it would expand through means that nullified human force.

Daniel told King Nebuchadnezzar 600 years before this day that this kingdom would come. Daniel 2: 44, “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.”

Break and consume: Here is the big picture!  The Kingdom of God is expanding. It grows by tactics and weapons that have no peer. It is breaking and consuming everything that opposes Christ.  The mustard seed that sprouted in the Bethlehem stable would grow until it absorbs every foe and fulfills these words: “Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” -Revelation 11:15

Satan took the bait from Daniel’s prophecy!  Every other kingdom that Daniel referred to in his prophecy was set up by physical force. When he heard the words break and consume, the devil assumed that the Messiah would be a Jewish liberator like King David.  The devil never thought that a baby’s cry in a lowly manger was the real threat to his throne.

The regions of hell convulsed when it finally hit them that Messiah was now on earth. Evil now had an expiration date.  Intuitively, Herod felt this same dread.  As a puppet for Satan and Rome, what else could he feel?  Reason left him.  He knew he had no power over this, he knew that the Anointed One could not be stopped yet he went to commit a great atrocity on the children of Bethlehem.

There it is! Great evil at work while at the same time the Kingdom of God expands!  The Magi are led away from danger.  Joseph and Mary are warned to leave and use the treasure of the Magi to pay for their escape to Egypt.

You are receiving a Kingdom!  Hebrews 12:28, “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.” This is the one thing for you to remember.  God surgically injected the Kingdom of God on earth; a Kingdom which cannot be shaken by global warming or moral cooling!  You are inextricably connected to the story of Christmas.  It lives in you, it breathes in you, and it energizes, protects, and guides you.  It is the power of Christmas that exempts you from all of the tragic outcomes that you see around you.  Psalm 37:18,19,The LORD knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.”

What are we to have in this time of great darkness?  Look again at the command from Hebrews: Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.”

Let your sense of wonder and gratitude shake you from fear and compromise!  You have received an unshakable Kingdom. You do dare not drown your sorrows in alcohol or compromised living!  You dare not have your senses dulled or your heart weighed down with carousing!  Clothe yourself in the wonder of God’s work.  Be a victorious and holy Child of God!

Serve God acceptably!  Self pity is not acceptable when you are on a mission from God.  Look at the way that every character in the Christmas story did their duty in the face of great danger and sacrifice.  Why?  They felt honored to be chosen, they were living a miracle.  The joy and wonder of Christmas carried them through every test!

Christmas introduced special weapons and a new breed of soldier! 2 Corinthians 10:4,5 says, For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”  Beloved, you are not supposed to lay there and take it!  You are supposed to rise up in the Name of Jesus and take the sword, take the shield, take all of the weapons of God and attack!

Today, thoughts alarm us and emotions assault us, but we are not helpless… we are not powerless!  Your heavenly Father is watching to see if you will rise up, take up these mighty weapons and attack!

You are the Christmas story continued in the last days!  What is the one thing you need to know this Christmas?  God is protecting you today as much as He protected Joseph and Mary back then!  God will guide you today every bit as accurately as he guided the Wise Men!  Since you have the same Jesus, the same angels, and the same power that carried the Christmas miracle to completion, God will also carry you across the finish line!  Hallelujah!

Mechelle and I pray that you and those you love will feel the power of the angels singing, the love from the manger, and the Glory of God overshadowing you this Christmas!

Mario Murillo Talks About Shepherds

Who were those shepherds that saw the angels that Christmas night? by Mario Murillo, Mario Murillo Ministries

mock-up-copy

Who are these shepherds? They are us. Their story is our story.  Their situation is our situation. We share a common theme.  We share a common enemy.  The terror that stalked their night is the very one that preys on the hopes of believers today.  They are so much like us!  Their future was sold to pay a debt to a foreign empire.  For them it was Rome for us it is China.  Their leaders forged an unholy alliance with Augustus Caesar.  Our leaders appease our enemies, attack Christian values and apologize to the world for our greatness. The faith of their Fathers was diluted by false ministers and mocked by pagans. Our Faith suffers the same fate! Their weak economy created a crime wave that forced them to stay out in the fields watching their sheep. We spend hours at our job, actually hoping for overtime and then the final insult of a cruel commute home.  Can you relate to getting through a day by choking down emotions and robotic ally doing your job?

What do we want most for Christmas?  Let me brave an answer.  What we want most in all of this mess is good news.  We could sure use some good news!  It would be so wonderful to see the unrelenting torrent of scary headlines, dire predictions and disappointing reports swallowed up by good news! But what would be good news to you right now?  What message do you need from God right now?

What we want most is a visitation of God.  It is easy to think that we want something else but nothing would help us more, nothing would do the job better, nothing can compare to it.  In 1982 I watched San Jose enveloped by the Glory of God.  It was a time when the economy was as bad as it is now.  The prime rate soared to 22% and unemployment was even worse than today.  Yet thousands crowded into the meeting every night for 22 weeks!  The atmosphere in the building evaporated fear and worries.

Yes, the people needed jobs desperately but somehow it was overruled by the Glory.  Each night they sang their hearts out, each night tears of joy washed away the cares of their life.  Other things became important.  Something priceless had come to them and they were not about to let human concerns rob them of this precious moment of their life.

I am a Pentecostal it is that simple.  I know what it means to have the Holy Spirit drench me. I know that when the Spirit of God is upon me fear, worry and anxiety vanish.

What the Angels did is turn their priorities upside down.  We know the Bible says “seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all of these things will be added unto you,” but in our daily grind it can seem to be an impossible task.  Moments ago these men were taut with tension and defensive of their herd to point where they would have gladly have fought to the death to protect their flock.  Now they are ready to run to a manger oblivious of the sheep they leave behind.

Yes we need jobs, healing and many other things but what we need most is the Glory.  Glory will make our soul gaze at God and while we gaze distracted by His splendor God will fix the issues of our life.  Modern pulpits have done us a great disservice by focusing on “how to” Christianity.  It seems so right to get practical teaching on relationships, money and handling emotions.  And that is the very problem we learn to “handle our lives” and “fix” ourselves.

This is the bait of Satan: to get us to strive and fret and battle by our wits and not by the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  What leaders are failing to do is to seek and obtain a move of God among their people.

Why did God skip the theologians, the Priests and the King and send these angels to the shepherds?   This is the question of the ages! How embarrassing to all of those in power and to all of those who made a life out studying the prophets, reading the times and being “in the know” who were overlooked in favor of these shepherds!

We are constantly trying to qualify for a career, a credit card, a club or some kind of status but are we qualified for a visitation of God?

What if these are not the bad times?  Maybe the bad times were back when you had money and toys.  Maybe in these hard times you are holding your loved ones closer, praying a little deeper and trying a little harder to be humble and grateful.  Maybe instead of suffering, you are merely getting into position to be visited by God.

An Open Letter About The Silence Of Pastors From Mario Murillo

Dear Pastor, Is the question why am I speaking out or is it why are you being silent? by Mario Murillo, Mario Murillo Ministries

An Open Letter about the Silence of Pastors.

silent-pastors

In this letter I will answer as clear as possible the two most common questions that Pastors keep asking me: Why are you an evangelist speaking out against Obama?  The other question is: Now that the election is over why are you still speaking out?

I will answer the second question first.

Question:  Why are you speaking out since the election is over?

Answer: I am speaking out after the election because the election did not pass the smell test.

NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN left all semblance of journalist integrity and framed a narrative for Obama.  They were literally a propaganda mouthpiece for the Obama campaign.  An unlimited supply of foreign money went into his campaign coffers with zero accountability.  Plus, unions admitted they helped run the voting machines.

I ask you, who could have defeated Obama when 90% of the news media was an extension of his campaign, he had unlimited foreign money, and then had his people doing mystery math with the votes? (90 districts in Philadelphia did not count a single vote for Romney.)

Was the last election rigged?   I will leave that for you to decide.

Question: Why are you as an evangelist speaking out against Obama?

Answer: As a man of God, I am a watchman; every God-called preacher in America is a watchman.  Hebrews 13:17 “Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account.

It is the duty of a watchman to see danger when it approaches the sheep of God.  However, their highest duty is to cry out against the danger when it appears.

Obama is an existential threat to American Christians.  He has antipathy toward the Gospel and Bible values and is using his presidential power to weaken the church.  I believe that every minister will give an account to God for what they did during this regime that openly persecutes the sheep.

The media tries to deny this and Pastors who are sympathetic to Obama play it down.  However it is true that Obama has dramatically changed the way Christians are now treated in America and he is just beginning his campaign.

In just 4 short years, the confederation of secular progressives, NBC, CBS, and ABC have dramatically altered the mood of our nation toward Christ and Bible values.  We have been marginalized.  Our classic views on marriage, abortion and drugs are being treated as if they are some new and threatening extreme.

September 12th, Obama spent $70,000 in Pakistan on T.V. ads to defend Islam against a stupid anti- Muslim video.  However, the next day when church leaders begged him speak out against “Piss Jesus” in New York where Jesus is on a cross in a jar of the artist’s urine he said NO.

Why are we surprised? He said “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”   This quote is from age 261 of his book The Audacity of Hope.

Obama’s NOs are just beginning.  He smells blood in the water and believes he has a mandate to diminish the Church.

Many pastors are not speaking out against Obama because they are hiding behind a misapplication of two sets of verses:

Matthew 7: 1 Judge not that you be not judged:   This quote from Brannon Howse says it all, “We cannot glibly quote this, though, without understanding what Jesus meant. When Jesus condemned judging, he wasn’t at all implying we should never make judgments about anyone. After all, a few verses later, Jesus himself calls certain people “pigs” and “dogs” (Matt 7:6) and “wolves in sheep’s clothing” (7:15). … What Jesus condemns is a critical and judgmental spirit, an unholy sense of superiority. Jesus commanded us to examine ourselves first for the problems we so easily see in others. Only then can we help remove the speck in another’s eye – which, incidentally, assumes that a problem exists and must be confronted.”

He goes on to explain how silly we are to let the anti-Christians forces use our misapplication against us: “Those that tell you not to judge, quoting Matthew 7:1 grossly out of context, are often some of the most mean-spirited, judgmental souls you could ever meet. It’s not, of course, that they don’t want anyone to judge anything, because they want very much to judge and condemn your commitment to lovingly speak and practice your Christian worldview. You see how these tolerance rules work? We must tolerate them, but they don’t have to tolerate us.”

The second set of verses that some Pastors misapply and use to defend the idea that Obama is God’s choice is Romans 13: 1-3, ““Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resists the power resists the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil.”

Please notice… “For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil.” This phrase is critically important because it reveals the context i.e., appropriate government is only a terror to evil works; but not to good works. Good government is NOT a terror to good works. When a government is run amuck with crime, tyranny and injustice, we are no longer to submit.  Obama is a clear and growing terror to the good works of the Church.

I do not believe that Hitler was God’s choice for Germany, or that Stalin was God’s choice for Russia, or that Mao was a divine answer for China.

george-praying

America’s founding fathers took matters into their own hands, reviling and revolting against the “higher powers.” The overthrow of British rule would violate the philosophy of most pastors today.  If they were the dominate opinion back then, we would have no United States.

Obama is not my president.  My president would have sent help to Benghazi to save the 4 Americans who begged him to save their lives.  My president would understand freedom of worship.  My president would see that the constitution is not there to protect the government from the people, but to protect the people from the government.  My president would not divide and conquer; he or she would unite and heal.

I pray for him but I do not respect him. I believe that his plan to confiscate wealth is stealing and a crime.  I have an obligation to oppose what his agenda of Gay marriage, abortion, and Islam is doing to the sheep of God.

I believe that there will be a day when pastors will bitterly regret their compromise.  That day will reveal their true motives and they will not be able to hide behind spiritual catch phrases.

I believe that the silence of Pastors helped Obama win; that their continuing silence is one of the greatest threats to the future of the American church, and that every minister will give an account to God for what they did during this open persecution of the sheep.

All of my brothers and sisters in ministry, I leave you with this clear mandate from  Esther 4:14 “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Renounce the party line and preach the whole counsel of God.  Teach your people what the Bible says about repentance and holiness.  Leave nothing out and do not be afraid to confront controversial subjects while we still can.

We do not need civil war we need national revival.  However, time is running out and so are our options.  Speak out!

Mario Murillo Has A Warning For American Pastors, Who Are Remaining Silent

A dire warning to American Pastors from the distant past. By Mario Murillo, Mario Murillo Ministries

Mordecai said to Esther, “for if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14.

It is with a broken heart and deep reverence that I beg you my fellow ministers, do not remain silent about Obama.  I know that for me to remain silent will put blood on my hands and perhaps judgment in my future.  You may ask me how do you dare make such a claim?  That is when I will ask you, what more must Obama do before you admit that he is a grave threat to everything that we hold dear as men of God?

I beg you!  Quit hiding behind myth of separation of church and state!  You have the right, yea the duty to speak out now before it is too late.

Listen to Matt Barber vice president of Liberty Counsel Action, “In recent years there’s been an epidemic of cultural inaction exhibited by far too many ministers of the gospel. It’s fear-based. “Oh, I don’t talk about political issues,” they say. “You know, ‘separation of Church and State’ and all that.”

Baloney.

If this is you — and only you and our Lord knows for sure — you’ve been deceived by the enemies of God. You’ve chosen the easy way out — the path of least resistance. This is something Christ, whom all Christians are called to emulate, never did — not once.

So, respectfully, man-up, Padre! Be the “salt and light of the world,” as Christ so admonished.

Did you get that? Despite hundreds of thousands of threatening letters sent by hard-left groups like the ACLU and Barry Lynn’s Americans United, not a single church has lost tax exemption for socio-political activity — zip, zero, nada. Not even for endorsing candidates from the pulpit.”

Obama cannot win without the Christian vote and I believe that  because Pastors remain silent, right now he has it!  Ohio is a vivid example of what I am talking about.  It has no business going to Obama.  There are a vast number of strong churches there but pastors are not speaking out as they should and they are not mobilizing their people to vote against Obama.

Are they afraid of losing tithers?  I am trying to wrap my brain around the idea of  a man of God who would rather lose a nation than a tither.

Perhaps you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this?  Maybe God gave you that pulpit for such a time as this?  What if you are here to speak up at the precise time that socialism is about to swallow of American exceptionalism?  We have to rise up in the name of God and stop this man and this plan for the dismantling of everything good and right about America.

Are you still hiding behind the excuse that we are to be “loving and not speak out against the president”?  What if Esther had hidden behind that excuse?

Maybe you believe that we need a big government ruling our lives. Just remember, when they start to control healthcare they will come and control your church.   They will do it in the name of good.

Here’s what C.S. Lewis said about people like Obama:  “Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

Maybe you believe that Obama is a part of the civil rights movement.  He is not, listen to Dr. King’s own words:

“There was a time when the church was very powerful in the time when the early Christians rejoiced at being deemed worthy to suffer for what they believed. In those days the church was not merely a thermometer that recorded the ideas and principles of popular opinion; it was a thermostat that transformed the mores of society. Whenever the early Christians entered a town, the people in power became disturbed and immediately sought to convict the Christians for being “disturbers of the peace” and outside agitators. But the Christians pressed on in the conviction that they were “a colony of heaven” called to obey God rather than man. Small in number they were big in commitment. They were too God-intoxicated to be “astronomically intimidated.” By their effort and example they brought an end to such ancient evils as infanticide.”

You can cave into pressure, remain silent and let this man back into power.  However, do not fool yourself.  I say this with tears of love and I am quaking with conviction.  I believe we are fairly warned!  The next time you pray for growth, miracles, blessing or finances, consider the broken heart of God who will remember your silence, and that silence, I believe, will be screaming at God a lot louder than your prayers.
