Many in the media and all of the Democratic punditry salivate at the concept of the Tea Party picking the GOP nominee. The groupthink/convention wisdom is that a Tea Party-ordained nominee is akin to picking Sharon Angle in Nevada or Christine O'Donnell in Delaware. Of course it's not, but no sense in letting them in on that.
Let the left think that the Tea Party is "dying out" (Harry Reid) or that the nominating process is a "disaster" (James Carville). These are the same sort of comments made about conservative GOP candidates or platforms prior to 1980, 1994, and, most recently, 2010.
The clear analysis is actually that when the left gets this loud, this angry and hateful, this emotional, and this certain, it is because the left is running scared. It ought to be. Any attempt at sober analysis cannot come to a conclusion that "Occupy" is an important and influential movement and that the "Tea Party" is a dead soldier in the battle for hearts and minds. Any such conclusion is not just partisan or wishful; it is abjectly wrong.
Just when you think Senator Harry Reid has boring said it all, you find out different. He has a fork tongue and fangs of a rattlesnake.
On Sunday's "Meet the Press," in his usual ingratiating tone of voice, Sen. Harry Reid urged Republican lawmakers to abandon their partisanship and join him in passing everything Democrats could dream of. The GOP House, he said, had been "led over a cliff" by Tea Party "extremists" and thus misled into supporting unpopular positions such as their temporary opposition to a 2% payroll tax cut. As a final gesture of goodwill, the Democratic leader said that he hoped Republicans had learned their lesson and would not repeat their mistakes in the future.
It's reassuring to know that we have such sensible, even-handed men as Harry Reid in charge of our government. I have to join him in urging that both houses of Congress work together and get things done. And I'll begin by listing six fundamental items upon which all reasonable persons should be able to agree, no matter what party they belong to.

The majority of voters in Nevada are stupid, stupid for re-electing Harry Reid for another Senate term of six long years. And their stupidity is affecting all of us. First, I can’t listen to the man. He is so condescending. He sounds like he just recovered from a coma. Second, he says stupid things, like this one: “Today is a big day in America. Only 36,000 people lost their jobs today.” Reid said this in response to what he considered to be a better-than-expected unemployment report showing the economy lost only 36,000 jobs in February 2010, compared to 651,000 in the same month the prior year.
His most recent stupid statement was about how millionaires don’t create jobs:
Many of our job creators are like unicorns, they’re impossible to find and don’t exist. That’s because only a tiny fraction of people making more than a million dollars, probably less than one percent, are actually small business owners and only a tiny fraction of that tiny fraction is a traditional job creator.
Now Sen. Reid wants Republicans to drop the Tea Party because he believes those associated with the grass roots movement are standing in the way of legislation to create jobs. In his best post-coma voice, Reid said the following:
