Surprisingly, many on our side -- Republicans and conservatives -- are still clueless about the Tea Party or have a negative view of it. They have fallen prey to the mainstream media's rhetoric that we are a bunch of anti-government extremists with a few redneck racists thrown in for good measure.

 

But folks, this is not an accurate description of the Tea Party. Not by a long shot.

 

Ten years ago, at a social event, a politician told me he ran for office as a Republican and lost. Without skipping a beat, he said he was running again as a Democrat because they promised him better financial support. I thought, how is this possible? How can someone reverse their values to further their political career? Man, was I naive.

 

Though referring to Republicans, my buddy Joe eloquently nailed the problem in politics today: "As long as this is a party of men who seek power, rather than fight for principles seared into their souls, then the Republican Party stands for nothing other than being the opposing party to the Democrats."

 

"Principles seared into their souls." Such are the kind of candidates we in the Tea Party are seeking and rallying around: character-driven candidates who say what they mean and mean what they say. It is truly a sad commentary on the decline of our culture when such expectations are deemed fanatical. Good Lord, how far we have fallen.

 

Remember the elementary school tale of George Washington, where he was confronted by his father for cutting down the cherry tree? "I cannot tell a lie, father, ...I did cut it with my little hatchet." I know, I sound like a sappy old fart, expecting my elected representatives to be trustworthy.

 

Resentment against the corrupt modus operandi of both political parties has been festering in the hearts of the American people for years. We have silently tolerated their governing against our will and best interest -- spending to win votes and seeking power via ever-increasing intrusive government controls over our lives. Obama in his unprecedented arrogance and lawlessness was the straw that broke the camel's back -- thus birthing the Tea Party.

As a black conservative traveling on my sixth Tea Party Express national bus tour, I find the Obama administration and the mainstream media plans to intensify their efforts to brand the Tea Party racist extremely disturbing.

The scheme of Obama's re-election team is quite simple: use misdirection to create angry voters who are focused on hate, racial loyalty, and white guilt rather than Obama's horrific record. Speaking of exploiting racial loyalty, Obama has launched, as part of his re-election campaign, without rebuke from the media or anyone, "African-Americans for Obama." Should the Republicans launch "Caucasians for Romney"?

 

Apparently, Obama's re-election team, which includes the mainstream media, has taken a cue from Dr. Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's minister of propaganda, who said, "If you tell a big lie long enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." This is their strategy to dilute the effectiveness of the Tea Party -- just keep repeating the big unsubstantiated lie that the movement is racist.

Last year, black Democratic Rep. Andre Carson said the Tea Party movement would "love" to see black Americans "hanging on a tree." Folks, as a black man who has spoken and sang at over 300 Tea Parties on five previous national tours, I say Carson's statement is insane and evil. I can still smell the vile, putrid odor of the pus of racial hatred oozing from the lips of Carson while telling his absurd, divisive lie. How dare this small, despicable man intentionally create hate against millions of white Americans for political gain?

 

Ben Jealous, president of the NAACP, is equally without scruples. Jealous said he saw signs at a Tea Party which read, "Lynch Barack Obama" and "Lynch Eric Holder." Problem is, Jealous is the only person on the planet who has seen such signs. In an era in which everybody and his brother has a camera-phone, if the images Jealous claims to have seen existed, they would be published everywhere. Jealous is a shameless liar. And yet, the mainstream media eagerly reports every Obama minion's unsubstantiated allegation of racism against Tea Party as the gospel truth.

 

One would think someone in the Obama camp would have an attack of character and moral decency to say, you know, we ought to step back from creating all of this racial tension. It is tearing our country apart. Remarkably, the people in the cold, callous Obama team are doubling and tripling down on their efforts to exploit race to the max. No sacrifice is too great, including a potential bloody race war to win Obama a second term.

I caught a portion of testimony by a Jewish woman who escaped extermination in a Nazi concentration camp. She said that upon their arrival, she was separated from her family and herded with other young women who looked strong enough to work.

 

The women were ordered to strip naked. Their heads and bodies were shaved. She said that even sisters did not recognize each other afterwards.

 

Clueless regarding the Nazis' agenda, the naïve new arrival asked a fellow prisoner who had been there a while, "When do we get to see our families?" The woman replied, "Stupid girl. See the smoke coming out of those stacks over there? That's where they are burning your family." The young woman said that petrifying fear overtook her body.

 

Folks, can you imagine the horror and all-encompassing fear? I cannot imagine being in that woman's situation, and I pray that I never will. How could human beings treat fellow human beings with such cruelty?

After twenty years of mentoring athletic children, my brother is not coaching a little league football team this year. He said things have changed. He ranted, "The kids run the show. They do not fear or respect anyone. Parents cuss you out or worse for verbally disciplining their child. Some teams have banned keeping score, and every kid gets a trophy -- pure politically correct namby-pamby feel-good garbage."

 

Powerful life lessons are learned through experiencing the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. I still remember my little-league baseball championship game. We led 15 to 2 in the third inning. Coach told us to slack off a bit as not to humiliate our opponents. We lost that game.

 

If Eric had cleanly thrown the ball to me at second base, I would have completed the rally-ending double-play. I dropped the ball, but it wasn't my fault. Honest! However, I learned to never slack off. Pursue to victory!

 

Okay, I'll get back on topic.

 

I viewed my non-political brother's frustration as what is described as a "teachable moment." I explained to my Obama-voter brother that the source of his frustration was liberalism, which is infecting every area of our culture.

You can imagine the justifiable extreme anger and outrage of black America in 1987. Six white men, including police officers and a New York prosecutor, allegedly kidnapped, raped, and smeared feces over the body of a fifteen-year-old black girl. Tawana Brawley was found unconscious and unresponsive, lying in a garbage bag, her clothes torn and burned. In the emergency room, racial slurs and epithets were discovered written on Brawley's torso with charcoal.

 

Al Sharpton, eager to launch his national career, ran to the microphones and cameras as Tawana Brawley's adviser. The problem was, it was all a hoax.

 

Fearful of getting into trouble for staying away from home for four days, Brawley made up the whole horrific racial-hate-inspiring story. After hearing the evidence, or lack thereof, a grand jury concluded that Brawley was lying.

 

The New York prosecutor whom Brawley accused of being one of her rapists sued Brawley and Sharpton for defamation and won. And yet, Sharpton still says the Brawley incident happened.

Pulling into Walmart, I heard on the radio that Obama will be at a $30,000 a plate fundraiser here in Orlando. Wait a minute. The only people who can fork-out 30 grand a plate are the one percenters Obama claims are hogging all the wealth and have made their money on the backs of the poor.

 

And now, Obama is having an exclusive dinner to hob-nob with these, according to him, selfish rich S-O-Bs. Shouldn't Obama's dinner include free meals for welfare recipients, the homeless and his OWS voting bloc?

 

Thirty thousand dollars a plate; and the media accuses rich Republicans of being out of touch with most Americans. Obama's dinner is exclusively for rich democrats. Obama's sycophant media would have us believe only Republicans are rich.

Stunned Americans are asking, "Why would Obama, in an election year, boldly trash the first amendment, forcing Catholic institutions to provide birth control, abortion drugs, and other contraceptive services which go against their faith?" These baffled, naïve people still do not get it. First and foremost, Obama is a hardcore leftist hater of America as we know it. He is laser-focused on implementing his vowed fundamental transformation of America into a socialistic, secular-progressive Disneyland.

 

As proven by their gleeful willingness to exempt Obama from the usual vetting process during his 2008 presidential campaign, the liberal mainstream media has given Obama every reason to be confident in their cover and support as Obama ignores the Constitution to fulfill his anti-America anti-freedom agenda.

 

For three years, we have witnessed Obama slowly peeling off his well-crafted "moderate" mask. Our first glimpse of the real Obama was his unprecedented government hostile takeover of private secular auto companies and his bullying banks to accept government bailouts.

 

Then, despite a majority of Americans screaming "No!" to ObamaCare, Obama basically said "screw y'all" and forced the passage of his health care bill. A Rasmussen poll that week showed that 55% of Americans wanted it repealed. It did not matter. The king had decreed it so. Displaying off-the-chain arrogance and dictatorial power, Obama's enforcer, Nancy Pelosi, ruled that "[w]e have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it." Yes, even Democrats who voted to pass the bill were clueless regarding its content. Obama revealed a little more of the man behind the mask.

Along with their ever-present accusation that anyone who criticizes or disagrees with America's first black president is a racist, class envy is the centerpiece of Obama's re-election campaign.

 

It is extremely disheartening that the president of the United States believes he can win the votes of a majority of Americans by exploiting the sin of covetousness and hatred for the rich. In every speech, Obama claims that the rich are not paying their fair share. Please excuse my frankness, but Obama is lying.

Here are the facts.

 

Half the country -- yes, I said half -- do not pay taxes at all. Zero! The majority of federal income taxes (70%) are paid by the top 10 percent of income-earners. As for Obama's claim that we can solve America's financial problems by forcing the rich to pay more, it is despicable, manipulative, and hate-inspiring nonsense. There are only 8,000 Americans who earn over 10 million dollars per year. If Obama confiscated all their money, it would finance our government for only 24 days. Then what?

I attended Newt Gingrich’s party at the Rosen Centre in Orlando last night. Over a hundred media outlets were there. Despite not winning Florida, the mood of Gingrich supporters was extremely upbeat; waving signs, “46 States To Go!” Gingrich’s speech was awesome! He talked about overturning Obama’s policies to which the crowd was elated. He did not mention Romney at all.

 

I never do this. However, as I surveyed the ballroom, I noticed I was one of only about ten blacks in attendance out of the hundreds at the party. Frustrated, I thought, “Where are the black people? And why have they not embraced our conservative message which I know in my heart is best for all Americans?”

 

Years of Liberalism and Obama’s presidency has been devastating to the black community.

 

And yet, like zombies, blacks blindly continue to vote for “the problem” which is Liberalism intrenched in the Democratic Party rather than “the solution” which is Conservatism.

I watched an extremely disturbing TV program about two boys in high school who killed a girl solely for the experience. Both boys, having aspirations of becoming movie producers, documented their murder adventure on video. Their video included a playful interview with their unsuspecting victim at her school locker. The obviously bright and beautiful girl looked into the camera, laughing while answering the boys' silly questions. Later that evening, the boys bludgeoned and stabbed her to death. One of the two boys commented, "Making murder illegal makes people want to do it."

 

I realize that this case is an extreme incident.

 

Another TV program featured a police sting operation. A car was parked unlocked, with the key in the ignition, to attract car thieves. A well-organized gang of five kids ranging in ages from 13 to 15, without hesitation, stole the car. All five kids cussed like sailors and wore their pants below their butts.

 

Again, I realize that this incident of a gang of middle- and junior high school kids stealing a car is anecdotal.

 

However, unquestionably, many youths today are callous towards the sanctity of life and are void of a moral compass regarding right and wrong.

Suddenly, there is a lot of discussion about whether or not we live in a "post-racial society." With the 2012 presidential election right around the corner, I can only conclude that, despicably, "race-baiting" will be a major component of the left's and the White House's Obama re-election campaign.

 

Recently, a black publication interviewed me for an article, the topic being "Is America a post-racial society?" Then, flipping through the TV channels, I caught a bit of two blacks on CNN discussing whether or not America is a post-racial society. It's coming up everywhere lately.

 

I am just giving you a heads-up, folks. All this talk about a post-racial society, which sounds like it came out of a marketing strategy meeting, is designed simply to accuse all who are against Obama's re-election of being non-post-racial. In other words, racist.

I Agree With Lloyd Marcus About Herman Cain

 

I agree with Lloyd Marcus that Herman Cain got a rotten deal with the main stream media. Cain endured rectal vetting not required even of our current president. As a matter of fact, the American people still know very little about Obama. Why aren’t the media giving Obama rectal examine?  Yeah, I know i hear crickets too.

I would not blame Herman Cain if he said, Lloyd, I know you mean well, brother. However, the relentless vitriolic media attacks against me have finally subsided since I dropped out of the presidential race. My family and I are finally having some peace. So why on earth would you bring up my name again?

 

\Well, in a nutshell, I just did not like the way the whole "Cain thing" went down. Also, we live in a fast-paced news cycle, "carelessly nuke a person's life and in two days everyone has moved on," disposable world. Herman Cain's courageous bid to serve his country deserves more than "Cain...wasn't he the black dude sex fanatic who ran for president as a Republican?"

 

OK, Cain is gone, and we conservatives must focus on selecting our candidate to defeat Obama in 2012. I got it. But it breaks my heart, seeing what happened to this "good man." Cain was attacked from both sides of the aisle. A few conservative pundits even accused Cain of not seriously seeking the Oval Office, but instead simply seeking self-promotion.
